skunk 2 cams

Default skunk 2 cams

I just got this GSR engine and the guy told me it had skunk 2 pro 1 cams, anyways to check if the motor actualy has cams?

Cams should be marked p1+ on the end of the distributor side of the cams.

yep, pull the cam cap/seal and have a look, or the distributor.

thats what i figured, its got stock cams. Hate when ppl lie to you like that.

they may be older pro1's some of the older cams had no markings, i had some like this that cam out of wrapping like that.... best way to tell is to either measure the lift and angle of the cams, or if you cant do that just find and oem gsr cam and compare visually to see if there are any differences, slight or major.

just the way this car pulled i knew it was stock cammed. i just wanted to confirm my doubts

My old skunk tuner stage 1's had no markings on the end of the cams but they did on the middle of the cam between the lobes, that might be the only other place you could look to see if you see a letter and what it is. Pro 1's to the best of my knowledge were all marked.
