Default Redline of a K24

It's been a while since I have been on HT,I have a k24 hybrid, k24a4 block with a k20a2 head. When I was putting the motor together I was talking to some people and shops about clearances and most said clay the motor to find out, which I did. In talking to these people and shops I came to the notion of a 7k redline stock internals playing it safe. The question I have is, when I was talking again to some other shops they told me that you can take a k24 up to 8-8400 rpm on stock internals. I have previously dynoed my motor and it was still pulling at 7k redline. Can you up the redline then in a k24 with stock internals, will the oil pump support this also. Any help would be appreciated want to get some more feed back before of IF i even attempt this.

did you clay the motor with the vtc gear locked at your max vtc? what pistons are you using?

I would suggest the k20a2 oil pump mod - then take the rpms higher

I would stay at 7000-7500 without knowing more

yes I clayed the motor to the max, but my current setup is 30 degree due to ptv clearance. The internals are all stock accord rod and pistons.

you cant run accord pistons with k20a2 head. I have had several k24a1/k20a2 combo's and a few more k20a2 motor setups, the k24/k20a2 combo's ive had ive taken to 7800 with the k20a2 oil pumps

7500 is safe on a stock k24 oil pumps, but an a2 or s2000 oil pump is a good thing for added security.
