Default Poor mans type r build need input

I have a darton sleeved Gsr think about boring it to 83mm and going with je pistons.I have a jdm b16 head with stock valves supertech spring and titatuim retainers.I have itr cams and aem cam gear and a itr transmisson.I was wanting to know what compression I should go with I want to make at least 200 if at all possible.Im going to be using 91 or 93 to tune not sure yet.Im going to be tuning with a vafc 1 for now because im getting married and can spend alot on this step up yet.I just want it to be a quick little coupe si that can hold her own. Input please will be greatly appreciated thanks.

seems like you're already set for a motor build. its sleeved right? i'd go with a bigger bore like 85mm, upgraded pistons and rods, run around 11.8:1 compression (91 octane friendly), sell the itr's and get some stage 2ish cams. should be seeing way beyond 200whp. even though you might be on a budget, vafc is crap, consider uberdata or crome.

I have to keep the itr cams for now getting married im lucky I'm getting to do this much lol.Im still going to use the b16a2 ecu is that ok.Or should i try and use a itr ecu for the more rev out of it?If so how would I go about making a itr ecu work in my car without messing with the immobolizers that come in the usdm ones?

i would opt for a chipped ecu so you can tune it better, chrome, neptune, uberdata are all good options for tuning

sounds like a nice build, it should make good power, and torque, i would got with an 84 or 85mm bore because as the old saying goes theres no replacement for displacement

coversoin harnesses go for 100-140, i think they are a worthy investment, OBD1 is easier to tune

you can always tune with obd1 and switch back to obd2 for inspection. put in your stock ecu for inspection.

i would get a socketed P28 so you can put in as many different chips as you want, you can run a street chip daily driving, and then run a more agressive chip for racing, its about as easy to change you chip as it is to change into a button up shirt give Ih8ricerz a pm, he does very good work, i got mine through him and it works great
