Piston Valve Clearance
I was wondering if anyone out there new what amount of clearance is neccessary to safely operate. I have recently installed COMP stage 2 cams in my b16 head and due to the amount of lift took them out to be safe. The clearance was 40 thousandths on the exhaust and 60 thousandths on the intake. I am runnin a b18 bottom end with CTR pistons. I was told I need to buy stiffer valve springs and retainers to safely run the car. Anyone have some ideas?

Re: Piston Valve Clearance (DonF)
It's those damn CTR's. They have a taller compression height than the other b-series pistons.
Just for anyone's informaiton the compression height is the distance from the pin center to the deck of the piston.
