Default Oil temperature sending unit/oil drain plug???

I've read a few posts that suggest that their are companies that make an oil temperature sending unit that would replace the stock oil drain bolt, but I've searched and cant find anything. Does anyone know where I could get such a thing?

BTW, it would be used on a D-series pan and a VDO Vision Series 2-1/16" Oil Temp gauge. Thanks for any help!

I doubt its any smaller than a stock oil sending unit, which is about an inch, if so, that wouldn't be to bad, or you can just use a brass T-fitting and hook it up to the stock location like mines.

Where does it install? All the ones I've seen have a huge NPT fitting. That's why i'm interested in finding the one that replaces the oil drain plug.
