Default Milling a head & cam timing issues.

Does anyone have experience with milling a head about 20 thousands & using stock cam pulleys?

I know it throws off your cam timing but will it really effect performance if I use stock cam pulleys & mill my head 20 thousands & use a 2 ply head gasket ?

Any input would be great.

Btw, reason for doing this is, I am not happy with the c/r that USDM itr pistons create. Hence the 2 ply headgasket & 20 thousands milling.

Thanks,
John

for every .012 you remove from head/block cam timing is retarded 1 degree

Does that also apply to running a thin head gasket from Mugen or Spoon?

A 2 ply headgasket is not going to retard your cam timing enuff to need camgears to my knowledge.
