manual hone vs. machine hone?
is there really a difference from a experienced veteran honing it or a machine hone? i want to throw in some ITR pistons and not sure if i should have a buddy manually hone it or send to a machine shop. what are the differences?

I honed mine!!!! It is pretty easy if you read up on it!!!!!!! AutoZone has honeing tools for about 25 bucks.
I suggest getting a Haynes manual and reading before you or your buddy do it. Unless you have expereince.

Re: manual hone vs. machine hone? (JunIntegra)
well if your engine is not to badly used ( long mileage, been abused) then you should be fine just bust out the pistons rings from your old pistons ( wouldn't do it but you can as a cheap alternative) and put them on the new itr pistons. if they cylinder walls look ovaled try a machine shop to hone it. las tthing you want is to do it and have oil blow by and putting as much oil as you put gas in your car . good luck bro
