Based on the website calculations, it says the je pistons have a 11.4 compression. Is this true? The je piston dome is measured at 7.4 which is less than the ctr's 8.6. Shouldn't that make it a lower compression than the ctr's.

i would just slap a factory head gasket and put that bitch together and fill her up with 93 and tow it to the dyno for a proper breakin and tune.

my old LSVTEC, was running a 12.1 compression, with a B16 head off a DELSOL
ran fine, just get some good spark plugs a range or two colder and you'll be fine and get it tuned, I can't tell the world of a difference when I got my ECU re tuned, wow!

dome cc isnt the only thing that determines compression. the overall compression height also play's a role.

check out the oem 1.8 build thread theres alot of cars with 11:1 - 11:8 compression that makes well over 200 + hp dd
