That's the right way to do it. I cheaped out on plugging the EGR because I didn't want to buy two different taps. 1/2in pipe thread for the water port. I'm doing the water port mod on every intake from now on.

Looks good! And yeah I agree with you the water port mod makes taking the manifold off 100x easier

Yeah, I gotta pull mine tomorrow to replace the alternator. No water spillage and I can actually get to all the nuts (unlike the stupid LS manifold).

i had to pull the intake manifold on my girlfriends ek to change her alternator, hers was a y7, with 100% original engine bay, never ever again will i do that.

Mine can drop out of the bottom even with the axles still in

You could just block it off, its for the heater so you just would not have heat.
I am also big on not doing things cheap but inexpensive. Search for the good buys. I did my LS Vtec motor for around $2000-2500 that includes the motor head, head work, cat back, CAI, header, Hondata and tuning, all parts to do the B swap, all parts to do LS Vtec the right way.

Ehh, I prefer modifying my intake manifold. If something goes wrong you're in pretty deep if you have to pull the head. But it's good to know it can be done that way.

That coolant port is NOT for the heater alone. The BYPASS tube is to allow your cooling system to function properly and allow additional cooling to the head. That is not an inexpensive way to do it, it is a lazy method.

After looking, you are correct. That coolant line is a bypass for the head and blocking it can cause the head to not cool properly.
This whole thread is a lazy inexpensive method.

You should check that, it is a sort of blanket statement. Because yes Honda does have a thermostat bypass. Maybe not on the B20, I'm not as familiar with it. However, every F and H series engine does.

It allows coolant to flow through the the head without having the thermostat open all the time.

This **** is funny ok so imo this is a good upgrade over an ls ur already starting with a good manifold then if u do port work you will be a lot better than a pos p75 manifold

Exactly, I dont see how its ghetto. I see it as resourceful. But thats like arguing with someone who just bought a buddy club spec 2 exhaust for $500 when I could just make one for under 100....

Everybody thinks paying for a name is cool even if it doesn't make their car perform better. Then they try to make it seem like just because they can waste their money that they are better than you lol. Cool dude, have fun with your skunk2 manifold, maybe if you're a real baller you bought a skunk 2 tb also and the throttle plate screws will come loose and **** your whole motor up lol.

Had to rant a little bit. My B lol.

Look at my build there are no real major name brand parts on it, only the AEM fuel rail which I got for $20. I am no baller and dont care so much about a name more that things are dont the right way. So you can do things right and cheap at the same time. Search and find the deals, thats what I do.

**** like this is why i would rather light my car on fire then sell it to another "honda guy". This thread is like the engine version of the rustoleum paint job thread. Bro i dont think you understand, im running 14.5 in a 1800 pound car. Id light the car on fire in the parking lot if i ever ran a 14.5 in a car that light.
