Why would I waste my time on a motor with a P75 head on it. If I wanted to go that far with a non Vtec I would get a SK2 or Blox intake mani or port out the P75 mani. Vtec heads is where all the power is found. Just saying a skilled person can do it and do it right.

If my Ls Vtec was in a CRX it would run 12s no problem. Put that B20 in a 96-00 coupe and my set up will smoke B20's. I beat a B20 Vtec Teg and a B18A1 powered CRX, but this is not a who beat who, and I was not talking **** so dont get all upset about your intake mod. It was a good idea just executed poorly. My LS Vtec is making 191Hp/161WHP stock bottom end and stock head with bolt IHE and tuned, that's Type R power.

I have the B16 OBD0 manifold on my B18 LS with Crower 403's. It is a great setup.

For the coolant I used a fitting with 1/2in pipe thread on one side and barb on the other. Stock hose fits this. Plus you can remove your manifold at any time without leaking coolant. Because of that I'll probably cut the end off of every intake I ever buy and run a fitting for the coolant in the head.

For the EGR I used JB Stick. I tried JB Weld and blew it out in about 2 minutes. The JB Stick has been holding for about a year now. I didn't need a bolt or any other kind of plug just shove the JB Stick down in the hole and let it cure overnight.

It is a much more responsive setup than the LS manifold but you probably won't see great gains with stock cams. It moves your peak torque up around 6000 RPMs which is about 1000 RPMs past where LS cams make their best power.

Well sorry I dont have a stripped down CRX to run my motor in. I also like my engine swaps clean. I like stuff like working AC and PS, a car that is nice to drive in. Getting all pissed off and butt hurt about some constructive criticism, real nice. Its people that do hack stuff like this that gives Honda tuners a bad rep. There are a small few out there that can do this kind of thing and and even smaller group that can do it right.

If you live in Arizona I will gladly put my slicks on and meet at Firebird for a 1/4 run or run some Solo and see whats faster if you want to play.

Oh and I am pretty sure my stock IEH LS Vtec is putting down better numbers than your stock B20 with B16 intake simply because a stock B20 cant make that kind of power.

161whp 125lbft that is a low 14 second car since its in my 2300lbs Civic my best time is a 14.5 spinning street tires threw 2nd. Easily a 12 second car in a 1900lbs CRX. A B20 puts down what like 120-130WHP, 140-150whp with IHE and a good tune.

do the math dude. my b20 was making more power then your ls vtec. it trapped a best of 107mph in a car that was 1850 with driver. that means it was making 180-185whp depending on which 1/4 mile hp calc you use.

Lol dude it sound like you're just a ***** if you can't handle a car without ac and power steering. The setup works and it cost me 30 bucks. I don't give a **** about what the bolts look like on the back of my motor in the car it looks just fine. YOU are what gives Honda people a bad name because you just talk **** about stuff that works great for cheap.

185WHP NA on a B20 stock bottom end is not possible, you would need a good cam like a 403 or 404 and some head work or FI and the low compression of the B20 will not respond well with that large of a cam on compression. I have been building Honda B series motors for a while now so I have just the tiniest idea on how to make power on them. My LS Vtec is a DD and was a very mild build, I left the internals stock and ran my B16 cams in them instead of my CTR cams. Well I cant let too much info out. Wait for my boost build.

The Dyno Pack is the best way to measure power and tq of a motor in a car. Mustang dynos are known to have low readings. Ever wonder why some the best tuners use the Dyno Pack like Do It Dyno, Bisimoto and Xact Dyno. If you get involved in NASA you require that you have pulls done a Dyno Pack to class your car.

Come out there and live in Arizona for a summer or 2 with no AC and tell me how you like it. My 98 Civic that I DD is my first Honda with AC. As far as PS goes do some AutoX and Solo racing with out PS, it is really fun. Having the AC and PS removed does not add hardly any power so other than weight whats the point. My Del Sol track car has no AC it all has been removed but it still has PS. I consider myself a cheap *** and I save money where I can but I also believe in doing this right. It is at the track when it counts that the cheap parts and work will fail.
I am done with this now. I never said the B16 intake did not work only that the approach could have been better IMO and that is all it was my opinion. Sorry you guys are getting all bent out of shape about it.

Actually if you want to be honest about it. It's threads like this that give Honda owners a bad name. A couple children arguing over 10-20Hp and a cheap $30 mod... It's the lack of maturity and lack of respect between other car enthusiast that puts a black mark on the Honda scene..... The mature Honda folks don't seem to have this same childish bickering issue! Until it comes to custom parts and who gets the most power from there $1500 header. Then there are still a few babies that come out in that crowd as well.

So I guess it's just the lack of maturity that gets us in the end eh!

and really thats not what ruins hondas for every one else. its kids that make believe they have something fast, tell every one how fast it is and convince other people that every honda owner is a lying sack of crap that pretends his cars a Ferrari. people like me build reasonably fast hondas for cheap and In person Im quite humble about what I have and build. its cheap and fast hondas that are what turn people onto them in the start. bragging about baller parts or wasting money just makes people look dumb. at the end of the day hondas are economy cars that you can make fast. but they are still economy cars. someone driving a 100k Mercedes isn't going to look at a itr and think G, that guy sure is "ballin" so leave us to our cheap **** that works and leave it at that.

Well thank you very much. I will take that as a compliment. As that is much better than belonging in the Junk Yard!
