Help removing crankshaft timing belt gear
I've nearly got the crank out, but I need to remove the crankshaft gear - its keyed onto the end of the crank (the timing belt is driven by this gear). In theory is should slide/pull off but nothing so far. There is no room behind it for a gear puller, just a thin (and now mangled) washer. Prying with various instruments of destruction has resulted in nothing. I swiped someone else image of this gear. Next is the blow torch on this sucka. Thoughts? Thanks.

Re: Help removing crankshaft timing belt gear
Ok, well I got it off by shocking the key loose with a hammer. The trick was to get the key out, after that the gear came off.
