HELP. Dizzy keeps blowing seals
I just finished putting my motor in my car and its keeps blowing the shaft seals inside the dizzy. Ive had 2 known good dizzys blow seals on me.
Motor specs
B20b
Eagle Rods
Arias 12:1 pistons
oem 2-layer head gasket
Head is a RHS head (got it with a trade)
Visctor X intake mani
68mm tb
Aem fuel rail
And stock gsr cams till i get money for tune.
Its getting roughly 20psi oil psi at idle and 75-80 at 3k.
Dizzys:
1st one came with head. Put it on and blew seal after about 10-15mins or running
2nd had only 5k miles on it brand new. Same happened after about 15mins
3rd dont know the mileage, but known to be good sense i took it off my car. same happened to this one to after 10-15mins of idle.
i already looked through head 4 times to make sure nothing was missing, but might have over looked something. So any options/ opinions bring them on.
ive searched and didnt really find anyone that has had the same issue.

Re: HELP. Dizzy keeps blowing seals
are you talking about where the o-ring on the dizzy seats, or where the cam cap seats to the head. Ive already put a new o-ring on the dizzy, and its a really tight fit to put it on. i was reading the hanyes manual and was talking about putting rtv on cam caps 1 and 5. I guess i shall try that. But the surfaces on both look to be fine.

Re: HELP. Dizzy keeps blowing seals
yes, seeping through the shaft seal.
Its happened to 3 different dizzy's. So i doubt its bad distributors.
And its getting good oil pressure.
Just dont want to put my last good dizzy on there till i hopefully know its all good. but i guess theres really no way to tell unless i try it with a good one. ha

yeah, thats a bummer, at the dealership i run into the same problem with customers cars from time to time. its not to common but it does happen, and it has been fixed on my records by replacing the dizzy with brand new oem parts and i have seen them comeback, myself on my own car with being in budget have been hit or miss on using well known dizzys. but its just luck
