Head Off Valve Pressure Test Tool?
I have a sohc vtec head i pulled from a junkyard. It appears that the #1 cylinder exhaust valves are bent, but to confirm i would like to perform a pressure test of the combustion chamber. Specifically, i would like to see how much air might be flowing past the suspected bent valves. Anyone know of a tool to do this? I have an air compressor, so that is half the battle.
My idea for how to do this would be to have a flat metal plate with an air pressure connection and trigger to fill the chamber, that also has a pressure guage attached to measure pressure bleed off. You then press the plate by hand to the combustion chamber and pressurize the chamber to watch the bleed off. anyone know of a tool to do this?
