Default Forged pistons and rods?

Ok, so I was plannin on putting in some Vitara 8.5:1 pistons, and some Eagle forged rods, because I was planning on turbocharging my D16Y8 but with my budget,of 2500, is too low for everything, they recommended me just do the rods and pistons for now and save a bit more for a good complete turbo kit. Will the rods and pistons give me any extra performance, or not neccesarily? What do you guys recommend?-thanx!

Yeah there is a forum, and thats where I got the suggestions, they were the ones that gave me the recommendations, but I havent asked them if the forged pistons and rods, themselves, will give me extra performance all motor?

u did not specify what comp ratio pistons ur going with. 12:1 and 11:1 and even 10:1 will gain some power but becuz ur going turbo i assume ur going 10:1 or less. in which case u will lose hp.

Actually I did mention the Vitara 8:5, and yeah, that is what I assume is going to happen with such low compression.
