Best Tuning Method
I'm building a H23A1 w/ a 12.5:1 CR, Crower Stage 3 Camshafts, and ITB's. I plan on using a P06 ECU running Crome-Pro for engine managment w/ an AEM UEGO Wideband to monitor my A/F ratios. The question I have is how would ya'll recommend I get it tuned?
I don't think the guy w/ the dyno locally has ever really tuned any high-comp Honda's much less one w/ ITB's or very agressive camshafts. As a result of that my plan was to first have it tuned w/ just the high comp pistons, then add the ITB's, and then throw the Stage 3 Camshafts into the equation, Tuning for each additional mod seperately. What do ya'll think of this method of doing it and do you have any suggestions?
My biggest concern is having the guy expletive up and blow my motor on the dyno and my second concern is that I know this guy runs his mouth alot so I'd prefer for him to know as little about my build as possible. Do ya'll have any good suggestions? If nothing else I may trailer it to Milwaukee, Madison, or Chicago to have it tuned but then I'd need to have it tuned w/ all the parts for my full build included and I really don't want to take chances w/ that.

Re: Best Tuning Method (boostdeliquent)
i personally would trailer it and take it to a renowned tuner who has experience with set-ups comparable to yours...sounds like there is a lot of money there to just trust to anyone..and with 12.5 cr..you really run the risk of pinging if not tuned properly..just my .02 cents

Re: Best Tuning Method (boots)
That's what I was thinking. I'll probably just make a day or two of it and trailer it down to Chicago or something. I just need to do some searching and find a good shop in the region.
