216 whp All Motor Civic breaks record at Modacar…
Tonight we tuned by my All Motor 2L at Modacar in Livermore. We beat out their All Motor record by a few hp. Here is the setup:
Exospeed Built and sleeved GSR 2L
12:1 compression
Alaniz Pro-Port head
Toda Valve Train
Supertech flat valves
Webb Stage 3 Cams
ANR.com header
In an 88 hatch
Tuned by Patrick (methods from the ENDYN board) and Noah (allmotorgsrekk).
Here is a dyno of the first and last runs as well as a few pictures of the car.

Nice numbers! I like the hatch and engine bay pic. Very sleeper like. "oh, its just a gsr"
Your setup is tight, power doesnt drop till 9K What trans are you running? I bet w/ type-r gears and lsd that **** would be low 12's easy!
Are you gonna get a seperate tune w/ racegas? I bet you could get another 15 hp with some more timing and higher octane

Re: (PyroProblem)
Don’t be fooled by the age old assumption that timing makes power.
We started at 26 degrees total timing on this motor and worked our way back to 17 degrees total timing. Yea, that’s right; this motor makes 10 more horsepower at 17 degrees WOT timing than it does at 26 degrees. (weird eh?) Thanks to Casey at Modacar for suggesting (several months back) that we try retarding the timing instead of advancing it when the engine doesn’t respond to changes.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Modacar (especially Casey) for allowing us to use their equipment on a Saturday. Not only did they stay open for us, but they give us free reign over the dyno. All for a very reasonable price. They have Casey on-hand to answer any questions you may have and their facility is very clean and orderly.
I have personally dynoed at a dozen different establishments in the bay area and Modacar is easily my favorite. My second favorite would be Visnu.

P.S. Everything we learned we learned from Larry at ENDYN. So even though this motor was not built by ENDYN it was designed through the principals laid out by Larry Widmer at ENDYN.

I am dying to know: are you using Endyn's rollerwaves? That would lend evidence to his quick-burn ignition strategies.
Very cool.

why is that? just wondering why you choose one profile over the other with his setup?
you have specs on both cams???
