Default Throttle issues

I've had my 06 TSX now for about a week and the throttle seems extremely sensitive, almost to the point where it's kind of hard to drive. I have to be very aware of how i push and let off the gas. It is a 6sp so it's making it a tad difficult to drive when working with the clutch at the same time. My previous car was a 05 S2K, so i'm not sure if i'm just used to a throttle cable and need more practice with drive by wire or if this is not normal.

I feel like getting the car going from a dead stop is the most brutal part. The delay from the gas pedal messes me up, especially when trying to match the clutch pedal position in relation to the gas pedal (if that makes sense), and usually results in a shakey if not violent start. I've never had this issue with my previous vehicles with throttle cables or my current second vehicle (95 accord 5sp). I have had someone bring up that the problem could be the app (accelerator pedal postion sensor).

I just want to know if any of the other 6 speed TSX drivers with the drive by wire has/had the same issue.

Thanks for the feedback in advance.

I HAD A 2006 CIVIC standard, and it had the worst throttle responce I have ever seen. Dont think there was an issue , Just set up for fuel economy. IT SUCKED

My 2004 TSX 6spd has had the ECU done so its awesome. feels like a cable TB . LOL

Good luck

I would have the sensor checked anyways at a dealer - never know?

I had that issue with my 6sp cl9. I replaced the app sensor and it fixed my issue. Apparently the butterfly valves on those like to get touchy after certain miles.
