All I can recommend to someone is having a pre-purchase inspection by your local indie Honda/Acura repair shop with compression and leak down tests, and if they have not experienced the oil consumption problems notify them of your concerns. I appreciate this thread as I have been in the market for one of these, and would have never expected to see this from Honda.
