radio doesnt work
Got a 98 acura cl that has a radio problem. Girlfriend pushed the cigarette lighter in and radio died. I check the fuse under dash n on the deck, ground, ran a new 12v power n ground line to it but nothing. I can hear the radio motor turning on but no light up. I even hooked the radio up to another car and it worked perfectly. I looked at the wiring diagram and the only thing that the cigarette lighter shares with the radio is the ignition wire. It is spliced from it. The relay to it is also good. The cigarette lighter never worked before so i'm stuck.
Correct me if i'm wrong but u don't really need the ignition wire to be connected to the radio to turn on. It only helps to prevent the battery from draining Right? Please help me out!
