Funny you say that. I just read that the Fit will have a Type R version in 2004 (Japan) 180 Hp and 1.6l DOHC engine and a Manual trans. The engine is based on the K20 (I imagine destroked K20) I think it would make a Cool platform to race.

Also News has it that the Fit will Hit U.S. shores in 2005 Probably will never see the Type R version But can you imagine? in Japan the Fit Starts out Less than 10 grand. A Type R vehicle for less than 20grand??? Yes it looks like Pikachu but I'd buy it. It has the same demensions as the EG6 only more head room. Nice Car and they come in weird colors. Maybe they'll have a Championship PINK LOL
