Default MPG and windshield wiper Q's..

Um, I've noticed that my EP3's passenger wiper seems to be slightly angled. It doesn't lie flat towards the bottom of the windshield as the other. Is this normal?

Also, the best MPG I've gotten was 27 MPG on a 280 mile trip on the highway. This seems low to me? Anyone have any input for better gas mileage? Thanks.

Get a new wiper?

I get 25-28 mpg but I also have a DCRH and the O2 defouled. I think stock EP's get better mileage than 27.

I was just asking if our wipes are supposed to be like that because of the contour of the windshield. Are they both supposed to lay perfect flat next to one another?

My pass. wiper is like that too and it really bugs me. If you want it to lay flat you'll have to buy a 15" wiper, and getting the wiper arm to go down all the way is a little tricky. It's a press fit, so you need some kind of leverage to pop it off. Don't try pulling.

Once I realized this I gave up. But yeah it still bugs me. Stupid wiper blade.

Haha, sorry.

And to the OP, what octane fuel are you using? I use 93 and usually get ~250 miles/tank until the gas light comes on. Keep in mind the tank only takes about 9.5 gallons (unless you're REALLY low) so mine gets about ~26mpg. This is mixed highway/city driving though. Road trips usually yield (slightly) better results.

I use 87. I'm going to do some routine maintenance soon since my car didn't come with any records. I did everything except the air filter and spark plugs when I bought the car, so I'll do that as well.
