how much are people paying for a new 05 RSX?
i'm in the market for a new car, and wondering how much an RSX is going for? MSRP for the Type S is 23K, and invoice is around 21K.. so i figure i'll be paying somewhere between those 2 prices.
how much are you people buying it for?

well 21 OTD is just impossible. the car's invoice is like 21800 plus about 2000 bucks in fees so no i dont think ur telling the truth. unless u put money dont and the remaining amount is 21***
i work at a local Nor cal dealership and can sell an rsx at a great price.

How did folks buy cars before the internet???? Try, http://www.edmunds.com they are very up to date and tend to give a fairly accurate idea of what a given car is going for in your market and most dealers will respect their pricing.

If you work there, then you know perfectly well that the dealer's true cost is signifcantly less than that.
You could easily sell for 10% under that and still be in the black.
The published "invoices" are basically a complete crock.
On the USDM EP3 Si, for example, you are still making money at $16,000--but that is under the published "invoice" that people think is the dealer's cost.

I'm sure they will, because Edmunds is just the barest guide, and in order to get the cooperation of manufacturers and dealers, they are going to do what they need to do to continue to get along with them.
At the time I paid $16,000 for my EP3, Edmunds was saying taht I'd be paying $17,500 or so.
There's no substitute for having your money straight before you sit down at the dealer. If the loan's already approved at your credit union, or you can write a check on the spot, it's amazing the bargaining power you have.

Pricing
CarsDirect.com has some good info on local pricing.
Interesting how much it varies by zip code though.
I priced out an RSX in 98133 (seattle) = $24,100 where as Los Angeles (90001) = $22,780

Supply and demand I guess. Acura's in general pretty much sell themselves so they tend not to budge on the price in the greater Seattle area.
