Re: (BarracksSi)
No ... I am running the stock SI proportioning valve as well as brake master cylinder.
Are you putting in the Type R valve or another aftermarket make? Do you happen to know the bias for the Type R valve?

Hello FullEP3: Very nice upgrade.
As BarracksSi has already mentioned, and seeing you are knowledgeable and have track experience, I will further concur for you to obtain the proper proportioning valve. You need to do this because ABS is not adequate to modulate your BIG brakes the way it currently is. If at all possible, go with the TYPE-R set up.
One last observation: While your 225 tires are fine, you will have better steering feedback and seat response if you use 215/45-17. All the best...

Re: (FullEP3) - Proportioning Valve (SennaPerfected)
Thanks for the reply SennaPerfected ... I plan on trying a 215/45/17 setup next to see the differences as well as installing the ITR proportioning valve/master cylinder ...

Comments like this make me feel better about sticking with 215-width tires for my "performance" set.

Re: (FullEP3) - Proportioning Valve (BarracksSi)
I'll need new AZENIS for next year so the 215-45ZR17 are going to be used. It will be best overall with the +60 DC5R wheels. I've noticed rubbing within the front wheel well with the 225's.

Thanks for the comments
Update:
I've rolled the rear lip and solved the rubbing issue. The fronts have not been an issue to this point. The car did very very well at Summit Point ... the Shenandoah Circuit has been the most technical course I have driven to date. Those that have been there know what I am talking about ... not much room for error! There were a few off course incidents over the weekend ... 2 cars kissed the wall very hard!
The car seems very balanced with a hint oversteer ... yes it rotates very easily if you want it
I had no problem pulling away from cars with 300+ hp more than me + competition suspension setups in the corners (see ya Viper Competition Coupe ) ... sure some of it comes down to the driver behind the wheel. Made up enough ground in corners that most high HP cars were not able to pass in the straights
Still working on braking issues ... too much bias to the front brembos I believe is the issue. Under heavy braking the tires want to lock up and the ABS gets uber pissed ... imagine that! Looking into switching over to R-comps with the proper ITR brake bias valve. Toyo RA-1 should work nicely ...
Other than that ... everything seems to be going well with the swap ... not major issues to report. Still waitng on part numbers from Brembo contact ... hopefully will have those in my hands within the next few days.
Will keep everyone posted!
