D.I.Y Rear wiper delete with plug
This DIY is on my DC5 but applies to most all vehicles. This install only took 20-30 minutes of my time but definitely looks great.
Here is my plug, around $25 bucks
And here is how my car sits now
First start with the outside cover over the wiper arm bolt. Just pop the cover up to expose the 12mm nut.
Then pull off the wiper arm
Remove the rubber cover and use a cresent wrench to remove the large nut
Next go inside the car and start with the phillips screw in the handle.
next remove the screws in the tabs that hold up the rear window screen
Next use a door popper to remove the side panels
Then pull down the main wiper motor cover
Here is the exposed hatch
Unplug the motor
Remove the 3 10mm bolts holding the wiper on
Pull it down and shut the hatch.
Now remove the metal washer
and pop out the grommet
Now time to install! put it in the hole and screw it together. That easy!
clean and admire
