Default Removal of wear wiper

Does anyone know where I can find some instructions on how to remove the rear wiper and replace it with a plug? Also, can I ever put it back on the original way once I remove it and plug the hole?

Just to get some opinions, does everyone think that it looks better removed?

Default FV-QR

I know you have to pull the entire motor out of the hatch and as 94EG8 has told me, it's a huge pain in the *** to remove.

I personally like it on the car.

I have it done on my car bought the plug from e-bay .Pull the plastic cover off the back remove like 3or 4 screws ,remove the outside wiper arm. Then there is a large nut to remove from the outside then the whole unit just comes out.The hardest paet of the whole thing is to adjust the latch once you put the plug in ,just dont over tighten it and you should be fine .It rains in hawaii like 4 days a week And i dont even need it thats what side mirriors are for .Makes the back of the car look clean in my opinion

I don't recall removing the wiper assembly itself at the junkyard being all that difficult, the wiring was though. Installing it in a hatch that never had a rear wiper was a HUGE pain in the *** though, especially the part where you have to figure out where to drill the hole for the shaft to go through.

I knew you'd said you did something similar on (your mom's car?) a car before. I must have gotten mixed up on what you said.

Yeah, that was the one. Mom's pretty happy with her rear wiper though, so i guess thats a plus. Removing the wiper arm was tricky though now that I think about it, it corroded pretty bad and I ended up taking it off with a battery terminal puller. I Actually really don't remember much about removing it from the donor car other than pulling the wiper arm off and spending several hours pulling out all the wiring. (To the OP this doesn't apply to you at all, I pulled the wiring to install the wiper in car that never had one.)

It's easy to remove the wiper motor assembly on my EK hatch. Just remove the rear hatch cover and loosen the 3 bolts that held it in place.

The plug I used was from a doner car. This is an OEM plug which you can get just about at any JY. Under the battery there is a rubber plug which will fit in the wiper motor. It's a tight fit so you know it will be sealed. There is a note it sticks out just a bit in the middle like a zit but it looks ok to me.

Which one do you mean?

Some people might want it brand new, that's why I ask.

From that pic it looks like #19.

If you would look down where your battery is, with you standing on the passenger side if you look down between the battery and the Fuel filter, right below the battery there is a black rubber plug.

Most people use that plug to run Amp power wire thru but that plug fits snugly on the windsheild wiper hole.

I just pocket it when I go to the JY....after all I did paid them $1.00 hahahahahaa

Default FV-QR

I thought that was the one you were probably talking about.

Here's the info in case anyone doesn't want to copy and paste my failure of a link or that site goes down or changes someday.
