That is a code 45...long blinks are the first number and short blinks are the second.

For a civic, a 45 means the fuel system is too rich or lean...not sure if this translates to your NA1, tho.

Reset the ECU and see if the problem comes back.

Seriously? What the hell is the $120 'inspection' if they have to add more onto it for diagnosis? That's bunk. Normal diagnostic is an hour, even though it takes less than ten minutes to get a code reader and pull the code.

If its a code 45, it means your ECU thinks your car is running too rich or too lean. I would reset the ECU (disconnect the battery for a minute) and see if it comes back or not. If it persists, it could be a wide variety of things from a faulty O2 sensor to a bad injector.

Dealers these days want to be paid for nothing. I'm surprised they dont charge to walk their lazy a$$es to your car. You can go to autozone and get it read for free. Or use the low tech method you just described. You can download a service manual off of nsxprime.

The $120 is to hook the OBD tester up to the vehicle the $75 is to read what the OBD tester says. Because employees that can read are so much harder to find. LOL

Good to go for now...could have been a number of things that tripped it, but since it has not come back it sounds like it was just a fluke.
