Wheel offset for ITR
Just a quick question.
The stock wheel offset for the ITR is +45 but for wheels that are +40 do I need a spacer or anyting?
I'm looking for winter steelies and came across someone selling a set off an 02 protege 5x114.3 +40. Will they work?
thanks..
[Note from Moderator: the correct offset for ITR wheels is +50mm]

Does it matter if the centre hub bore is a few mm bigger on the steelie? Meaning as long as I can get the wheel on? or does the centre hub have to be tight?

If its bigger I would think the rim would not center correctly and could cause some vibration. But i will wait till someone who has more knowledge on this confirm or respond to this question.

The hub bore being larger does not really matter. Some people will say they get vibrations, but I've used many kinds of aftermarket wheels all with larger bore and only one set did I ever use hub-centric rings and I have never had a problem otherwise. You can nfind hubcentric rings for just about every kind of bore and hub size in both metal (for racing) and plastic (for street) rings.
If the bore is smaller it would need to be bored out obviously but that can be a PITA or $$.
Offset (the +40 #) is also dependant on the width of the wheel and is not a static number. The spacing of the wheel from the hub will be different on a 15x6.5 +40 and a 15x7 +40. Just another thing to take into account.
