MOVE OVER

I am replacing the oil pan gasket because I keep finding oil underneath, but I can not find where it is coming from. The oil cooler looks somewhat wet / shiny, but it is never really that wet with oil. The bolts towards the rear of the car on the flywheel cover had drops of oil on the bottom of them... I also keep finding oil on the bottom of my supercharger, near the nose cone as well as on the bottom side of the wires that sits right up against the bottom side of the blower. I clean it off, and then go to recheck, but I can not figure out where it is coming from! I do not lose any oil according to the dipstick unless I am on the track, never on the street.

I know it is not leftovers from oil changes because the car sees very few miles and infrequent oil changes (is daily driven though). I check / clean off the oil every few weeks.

Sounds like your rear main seal is shot.

There is this oil dye that is sold at major auto parts chains. It reacts to light and will glow.

I've used it in the past to trace oil leaks. Perhaps it will work in this situation. Best thing is to do it at night and use a small shop light, let the car run and see if you can see anything glowing as the engine heats up.

*Correction: This will be true if you find oil on the engine-side of the flywheel itself.

MOVE OVER

The flywheel is oil free.
the car / motor has 58k miles.

I suppose I have two issues though.... I could see the oil cooler leaking and dripping some oil into the area I pictured; however, this would not explain the oil I find on the bottom side of the blower.

I would post pics, but they did not turn out very good.

could be the black oil breather thing on the back of the block..

Did you check between the tranny and block. Cause on my friends R it turn out to be the vtec seal.

i would check the seal for the neck of the supercharger as well...... i know they are prone to leaking as well
