when does your vtec kick in?mine is about at 5700k..i am just curious..plmk..thanks

 

seems like my VTEC kicks in at 5900-6000 but it may just be my cluster

 

Your from modesto?have you been to fresno at the street races?

 

The switch over is at 5700 rpm at WOT and 6000 rpm under normal accelerating. Correct me if I am wrong, but I read this on the board a while back. I also tried it out for myself and it seems to be right.

 

Actually, try 5400 & 5700. Your stock acura guage is 300rpm fast. Comes in handy knowing by the time you are at redline, you are actually 300-400 rpm slower - keep going!!!

note: my field digital tach & the dyno digital read out were both the same while comparing to stock tach. At stock 8600rpm, the digitals were 8200.
