Marc, you should notify Jason, I'm sure he'd be down for a few sets of the 15x7s. Maybe some of the other H1ers too.
And on the odd chance any of you all are thinking of running Honda Challenge in the future, keep in mind that the maximum wheel width is 7", a 15x7.5/8 will not be legal, however nice or cool it might be.

True, but aren't there cheaper and just as light 15x7" wheels to use for Honda Challenge then custom colored Volks?

And wouldn't you know it? I bought some TE37 two days before this thread appeared.
Personally, I do not think 16" wheels make sense anymore. It's just too hard to get good tyres, the right size, the right price, for 16". This is why I just got rid of the 16" Spoon wheels I have owned for six years!
You can get TE37 in 15x7.5. You'd have to calculate the offset to fit 225 section tyres w/out rubbing, and w/out having to do anything other than a simple rear fender roll with stiff springs. I'm thinking 42-40 range offset.
15x7 +35 will rub unless the owner has very stiff springs. My SSR Type C are +38 and with 225 RA1 it's clear that they would rub if I had stock springs and stock height.
So...of the sizes you offered it seems to me 15x7 +43 is the clear choice. The buyer could use cheap 205 Azenis, more expensive 215's, or R compound 225's and all of them would fit that size wheel and generally without rubbing.
Hoosier 225's might rub, but not Toyos. There's little likelihood that Hoosier would be homologated for Honda Challenge, though.
IMHO. Your mileage may vary. Standard disclaimer applies. In the event of capture Her Majesty disavows any knowledge of the action.

Whether it's worth it or not could be debatable. The best price I found on 15x7.5 TE37 was $1372.
The H1 rules now allow wheels wider than 7", so maybe there is a market among the racers who want the best.

You were adaptable and generous, which is why I jumped immediately when you gave that price. I do not think that most people would sell their previously owned Volk, in that kind of condition, that cheaply.

Not with the same reputation.
Volk/Rays, Spoon, Desmond, EVO, OG Mugen...in a league of their own when it comes to light weight and a reputation for not breaking under extreme service.
My SSR Type C are not quite as strong as my old Spoons were.

When did that change? And why isn't anyone doing it?

Not sure when it changed. I know a guy in Cali who has 17x8 wheels. It looked to me last time I saw them that Jason and Chad were both using 15x7.
The only reason I can think of why they would not be doing it is simply the economics of it. There aren't that many 15x8 wheels that would work, and 16 and 17 wheels make for a huge increase in the tyre budget.

Marc I'm definetly in on choice E) 15x7+ 43 Time attack CE's for the right price. I wouldn't rock the +35 offset on a ITR, that just ridiculous with R compounds. Will these come in 10 spoke like pictured or standard 8 spoke?

That's 15x7 +38 Type C's with 225-45-15 RA1.
If the suspension were not so stiff, the rear would be contacting the tyres in some turns.
I really don't think +35 is a good idea for most ITR owners.

With +43s too you could always use spacers to bump the wheels out a little. Little harder to do it the other way around

I think I am one of the few who likes A and D.
Only because I don't intend to run the +35 out back. I have plenty of +50s or +42s for that![](https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsmilep.gif)

to give you guys an idea, these are 15x7 +43 ce-28n's. they are 10 spoke with 205/50/15 toyo ra1's.
i totally agree with george on wheel sizes, especially if you're looking to put r-compound tires on them. the 16" offerings are limited...

Thats what it takes to sell on this site apparently. I've seen many other sets go for the same price in the same condition, others as low as $600 sometimes (those require a refinish but with a price like that who cant afford it).
