VAFC/VAFCII Users.
How many people are using the Apexi V-AFC or V-AFC II on their ITR?
The ITR typically runs too rich... Anyone want to share their settings, what gains they got, and how much they leaned it out.
Personally I'd rather leave the L->H transition at 5700rpm to preserve the low-end, but share your experiences...
(Yes, I've been into the archives... not much... I'd like to make a definitive thread like many of the other car boards have).

Too many variables to guesstimate something like this.

Even if it is just their experiences without the actual settings would be fine...
I'd be thinking this would be a "starting point" for a VAFC to be tried out of the box at... maybe a conservative setting (outside setting 0% correction throughout the power curve.... hehe)

Na don't mess around with the settings you can do more harm then good, Just get on a dyno and have a good shop tune it for your car.

yea every car is different. if you search for vafc settings people have posted them before but if you look at different peoples settings they are not the same. some only have to go down to -5 in the top to be good but mine in the other hand is at -22 on the topend. mine was dipping down into the 11.1:1 region at 6k+. just get a wideband and do it on the street (like i did) or put it on the dyno. now ive got between 13.0-13.8 from 5k+

you'd be suprised at how much you gain from lowering the X-over.

Bingo! Stock R's or R's with bolt-ons usually benefit a great amount by lowering crossover to 4400 or around there. My car is at 4500 and I removed that dip and gained a whole **** load over the stock graph.
It's a good feeling to not "feel" vtec kick in, but instead only hear it. That's when you know your power curve is smoothe as silk.

Stock R's don't gain anything by lowering vtec x-over. For a bone stock car, vtec x-over is set optimum. Honda engineers set it there for a reason. With boltons like I/H/E, vtec x-over can be lowered resulting in some good midrange power.
And what's the deal with everyone refusing to give up their vafc setting saying "every motor is different bla bla bla".... yes every motor is different, but not by much if you compare cars with equal boltons. My car has I/H/E and my vafc settings are:
VTEC x-over:
Lo->Hi: 4900 rpm
Hi->Lo: 4800 rpm
Throttle:
Lo: 10%
Hi: 50%
Wide throttle fuel map:
Lvt:
4800: +2
Hvt:
4800: +2
4900: +2
5000: +3
5500: +1
6000: -1
7000: -2
8000: -4
9000: -4
Narrow throttle fuel map:
Not tuned
These settings are set using butt dyno, and top end settings are therefore very unagressive just to be on the safe side. I'm still running rich on top. I'll probably dyno the car later to finetune the settings, and see what gains I get.
Almost every R I've seen with the same mods as mine have just about the same settings.
