Type S dyno plot.
Here is some food for thought. I think that our R's were OVER RATED in HP here. I would like to see a flywheel Dyno of the B18C5. I think that on average we lose 30hp to drivetrain loss is a bit much. I believe that our engines only put out 185-190hp . Other than that, it could be a freakish motor...there are examples of this in all makes.

RSX-S is not 250lbs heavier. Depending on model year. The widest weight gap between ITR and RSX-S is 190lbs. If you have one of the newer model year ITR. Then the gap is around 130-150lbs.

check out these very reasonabe discussions on drivetrain loss determination or estimates on the dyno...12-15% loss in FWD is expected not 20%.

crank hp - (185 +10)/0.9 = 217 hp
hmmmmm.....maybe on a 2002 JDM Integra Type R?
anyway our local Acura dealership had several (and I mean a lot of cars) come back because people have shifted into 4th (or 2nd in one case) thinking they were going up to 6th (street racing are we?). The downer is that the factory warranty does NOT cover this as it is not a parts failure...driver error...didn't the Celica GTS have the same problem with their 6 speed?
cheers

isn't part of it having high numbers stock on that dyno because it was done in 3rd gear? correct me if i am wrong, but i heard if you dyno in 3rd gear and not forth the numbers are high than what they are supposed to be.
the b-series trannies are known to lose a lot of power while transferring it to the wheels, like an instant 15-20% loss because the engine spins counter clockwise, while the K20C spins clockwise, which explains why it puts out more to the wheels.. i might be wrong though
