cable shifter
no-return fuel system ?

Didn't notice the sig. Not too good for a Turbo, but how does the torque curve look like that with boost? Also, I doubt they make that many parts for the RSX yet, IMO.

For a 200hp car putting down 185 I find that hard to believe... With drivetrain lossed I figured around 166-170 tops. Mathematically it can't be. That car would have to be putting out around 216-220 hp at the flywheel. I don't think so.....

Just saw a SCC (or some similar mag yesterday), showing dynos for a 200 hp Type S.
Mid-low 160's stock, gained about another 15 hp by removing the intake and then the exhaust (cat-back).
This is too high for stock!

who takes a stock car to a dyno?
another thing to note, some reports have put the 1/4 times
for a stock S in 15.0~ area and others in 14.8~.
perhaps these cars were tested bone stock, but before the
proper break-in.

Well if I remember right the UK spec ITR's made around 170+-whp because they run the JDM engine basically which is rated at 200bhp. So taken that as it is. The RSX Type S with 200bhp should make around the same whp. I would expect 170-175whp as the engine is suppose to be more effencent overall compared to our B18C's. But I would think that be around the best it could be once the engine has couple grand or so miles on the engine. The only other way I could think they maybe making more WHP is by maybe doing something with the intake maybe KNfilter if they make one for it yet? Timing change?
I could see those #'s if they had around 171whp stock...did intake change, timing change, exhaust and header. Then they should hit that mark. But I don't think they would have those parts..UNLESS there using JDM ITR parts for the engine.
I'm sure if someone bought all the parts for new JDM ITR ENGINE you could put out some figures like that given it makes 215bhp. But that be rather hard as the ITR in Japan just came our recently and most aftermarket companies haven't finished there parts yet..some of the new CTR parts are just coming out now.

The car feels like it has around 175-180-ish horsepower. I wont doubt this plot because when I drove it, it felt as fast as my R and considering it carries more weight...
Yeah how can it be rated at 200hp, 5hp more then our R's, and yield approx. 20-22hp more to the wheels compared to most stock Type R's? Not possible.
BTW, I agree with TypeR98 regarding Dynoing a stock vehicle, I for one want to know all the cash I drop on my car in modifications is worth it, duh.

My sales guy that sold me my R. Let me drive one the new Type S with couple hundred miles on it. And just driving normally it didn't feel that fast..atleast not stock to stock feeling. My sales man even told me when I was looking at it. I hope your not thinkin about trading your R in on this. Because he said he drove both last yrs R and this yrs Type S. He said my R just feels quicker. So unless there is be difference once the engine is broken in..even my dealership doesn't think the new Type S out does the R. They said the Type S lost to the JDM ITR overseas..so he said we don't have the best Integra or RSX..not until we get verison of the R stateside.
i'm not going to say anyone is right, but here's my scoop on it. First the rsx-s has higher compression than our R's, it also has I-vtec which is going to yield LESS HP and torque loss (just as the celica GT-s does) As for 1/4mile times, even though it dyno is high than most stock R's, I don't think it will break into mid 14's, i 1/4 stock with aem at 14.2, but that was a one time thing, most avg for me were 14.5-.9, I think that the rsx-s is a powerful car, but its just not type R quality IMO.
Well if this is true... The car is still slower than an ITR! I went to the drag strip on friday and I was running 15.5 sec @90 mph! The RSX is about 250 lbs heavier... I was running 15 sec flat easily @ 95 mph with both ITR I've owned (with and without A/C)! And with a personnal best of 14.7@96 mph!
My RSX-S has only 1000 miles, so I can expect maybe to go down to 15.3 in few thousand miles, but I still think that stock for stock and ITR is faster that a RSX-S!
Just my .02$

Well, this backs up the review of new JDM ITR compared to our DC2R from 9/01 Best Motoring Video. JDM 02ITR with i-vtec just
drove away up the hill with so much more torque and low vtec engagement. Now More and More i want this new ITR.
Drive mine till that day come!

Kinda the Same experience as RacerX...
Went twice to the Dealer..meet my Salesman, he did quote that the RSX-S is faster 0-60 compared to my R (that what he read on the mags, etc), but when I ask whether I should trade my R in, he said: "Hell No, keep it until we get the RSX-R in a couple years.. then I'll call you".
Wondering why....

15% drivetrain loss would equal about 170 at the wheels, right?
