Default type r cluster

i have a 97 type r with a jdm itr cluster
i wanna change it back to the usdm cluster... the last owner
told me i had to go back with a 97 usdm cluster .. is that right?
or can i jus go with any year itr cluster????

please helpp

But the gauges need to be in a 94-97 housing or use a 94-97 green gauge film.

If you use a 98, 00-01 ITR cluster, your temp/fuel gauges won't work. You need the green film from a 94-97 Integra cluster in order for those gauges to work. The reason is because the wires for the gauges from harness are pinned in different locations between the years. A 97 ITR cluster will be extremely hard to find.

You can always swap the USDM gauges from a 98+ ITR into that JDM cluster housing. There are a few screws for each gauge that you unscrew and the gauge pops out.
