i don't see much of a point except that the ap2 has a clock in it. i can see it being useful if you have the 2.2L in an AP1 body but if you're still runing the 2.0L, its pointless

The other countries still have the 2.0 so if you used a cluster out of one of their AP2's you can still have the 9k redline.

that is totally a matter of opinion.

I happen to prefer the layout of the fuel and temp gauges in my 04 vs. the 00-03.

Its hardly even an opinion thing, the damn things are near identical, like little boxes slightly moved left or right here and there...its like having 2 taco's from Taco Bell and calling the one with an extra shred of lettuce "ugly"...lol.

My point being I like the 180 degree display for fuel and temp versus the 3 bars on the AP1 cluster.

Sorry to bust you guys' bubbles. 04 cluster does not plug straight into an AP1. '04 cluster has 2 plugs, while 00-03 has 4. To make it match you have to change the dash harness, which in turn wont plug into the chassis harness.

Just did the swap myself. The dash harness is swappable but wont fit the rest of the chassis. This only works if you plan to transplant everything.
