Okay two questions. First, I just did a vavle adjustment on my 01 gsr and Instead of measuring and putting the feeler gauge between the cam lobe and rocker, i measured between the rocker and the top of the valve stem. (last time I listen to my dad with his pushrod engine knowledge). How big of a difference will it make on the cam lobe side? I'm still gonna redo em, just wondering if I screwed up big or not.
Second, the rocker has a bit of play in it. Which way should the rocker sit to get an accurate measurments? Should I push the rocker up against the cam lobe or away?
Thanks

Hmm. If you pushed the rocker arm against the cam lobe, then put the feeler guage in there to make the adjustment, wouldn't it just push the rocker back away? Isn't this freeplay the very thing that you are trying to measure and adjust?

Most people come to the ITR Forum to ask tech questions cause they know that there is a wealth of Knowledge here. Not for the Sarcastic comments.
Frankly I am flattered that not everyone thinks we're just a group of snobs with over priced glorified GSR's
Well From what you have typed seems that you are in need of a valve adjust ment tip or two.
Search as there has been quiet a few good topics on this matter lately. One of my favorites is This one
if you can't fing it there search in the ARCHIVED threads.

I'm sure theres at least one person that can help with valve lash adjustment Q's in the Integra forum.
this forum is saturated with junk and non specific questions , you know there is a tech forum also for these types of things.
: shrug : whatever , I'm a sarcastic *** , deal with it.

I almost added before but refrained, so obviously there's more than one that share this opinion.

I take it you haven't checked out the integra fourm lately. It's all "what exhaust should I buy?" And "My CAI rockes, yo!". I'll take your advice and post it over there and make sure you see what responses I get. I put it in here because I figured type r owener take their car's performance seriously, but I don't need to explain that to you. Not saying I'm right, guess I just made a mistake. I'll deal with it. In fact I expected nothing less.

Another good example as to why you shouldn't ask anything technical in this forum.
If people don't know the answer, they''ll make dumb comments

Shame
I spend most of my H-T time here in the Type R Forum. Ocassionally I go to the Integra Forum and EG forum. If I had a TECH question I would normally post here as MOST of the time my question gets answered. The Thread I sited earlier just so happen to have been created in the ITR forum. Maybe this gave some one a reason to think we have 1/2 a clue about the question.
If you think there is too much "JUNK" then just don't post. Everytime you do it just brings it back to the top.
