starting problems
Some days my car turns over a little longer then normal (like 5-7 sec).Does anyone ever have this problem?I was hoping it was bad gas but it have happened quite a few times .....
i've had the same problem when it wouldn't turn over the first time, now i just stick the key in, and turn it to on, and wait until all the lights flash and the noises finish, then crank it over. even with less than 1/4 of a tank it starts the first time most of the time. give this a try.
Souns like the old low fuel level problem. When its low on gas let the fuel pump run for a few seconds, this should help. If it doesn't I don't know what the problem is

I think it is normal because this happens to my R also...and when I had my SI it used to do the same thing...This past saturday my R took a long time to start and when it did the idle was jumpy for a few more seconds then normal...If anyone knows why this is not normal please explain. Thankx

oh boy, i thought i was the only one!!!!!!! it takes long even with a full full tank of gas. it doesnt happen all the time. it seems to happen whenever i have left the car untouched for a few days, maybe a bad starter?? maybe the battery?? or the connections are bad? or maybe even the fuel pump?
i was thinking about bringing it in.....

I think it's a Honda thing. My mom's Accord V-6 does it, and if it doesn't start on the first try then it's REALLY hard to start. My 93 Accord does it, my cousin's 96 Accord does it and a friend of mine has a 1999 Civic Si and it has the same issue. But it has NEVER not started.
I can live with it. Also don't even try with the dealer because you know it will start EVERY TIME if you actually take it to them.

Weird; Mine does the same thing but only when its really hot outside like it has been recently. It does not matter if the car is warmed up or cold, just depends on the weather.
