Low on gas? My car does that when I have less than 1/4-1/8 of a tank.

i've had the same problem when it wouldn't turn over the first time, now i just stick the key in, and turn it to on, and wait until all the lights flash and the noises finish, then crank it over. even with less than 1/4 of a tank it starts the first time most of the time. give this a try.

Souns like the old low fuel level problem. When its low on gas let the fuel pump run for a few seconds, this should help. If it doesn't I don't know what the problem is

Happens on my GSR. Sometimes it starts fine - while other times it takes 5-7 seconds to start.

oh boy, i thought i was the only one!!!!!!! it takes long even with a full full tank of gas. it doesnt happen all the time. it seems to happen whenever i have left the car untouched for a few days, maybe a bad starter?? maybe the battery?? or the connections are bad? or maybe even the fuel pump?

i was thinking about bringing it in.....

I think it's a Honda thing. My mom's Accord V-6 does it, and if it doesn't start on the first try then it's REALLY hard to start. My 93 Accord does it, my cousin's 96 Accord does it and a friend of mine has a 1999 Civic Si and it has the same issue. But it has NEVER not started. I can live with it. Also don't even try with the dealer because you know it will start EVERY TIME if you actually take it to them.

Mine does the same thing even with a full tank. It only happens when the engine is warmed up.

Weird; Mine does the same thing but only when its really hot outside like it has been recently. It does not matter if the car is warmed up or cold, just depends on the weather.

Mine would not start at all one day, at the gas station. I pulled the key out, and put it back in, started right up. Could be the chip or receiver.
