If I remember correctly, adding a ground wire other than the one already attached to the tranny caused huge problems. Leave the tranny ground as is, and put the ground wires where tommy gunns told you to put them. SCC doesn't know, they really don't.

I thought it was more to give the car a more 'smooth' feel... less vibration, etc.
what i noticed was that my car felt A LOT smoother... especially noticeable for such an old car that i have...
-less vibration in the car (i used to have HEAVY vibration and shaking)
-quicker start (even in the cold *** weather we have these days)
-also better idling and throttle response
i wouldnt be surprised if it really does give any hp gains, but im happy with my best $6 investment to the car

I believe the reasoning between this is that different parts of the motor are grounded at different places on the chassis. These places on the chassis may be closer or farther from the battery than others. By placing grounds from certain points of the motor, you can shorten the distance the ground my travel from the battery to these points. The key is using high quality wire with very little resistance, and a good contact point.

Just wanted to add my $.02. Got Tommy's kit the other day. The best part is the quality of the wires, connections, and packaging (everything is there, even ties for the strut bar ).
The hardest part of the install was getting my hand in there for the alternator ground.
Can't really tell a big difference in what I'm "supposed" to feel, but hey, it can't hurt. Overall, great quality piece.

clean is fine.. a waste of time, but whatever.
if you had said wire brush, or something to that effect, i wouldn't have commented... however, a toothbrush isn't going to do **** to get you a better electrical connection. that's all. have fun with the toothbrush.

The grounding wires are awesome. I just put a kit on my car and It feels so good. They do work. Here is a link that I have posted on another forum.

More earthing kits coming soon, check sig for details.
THIS IS THE LAST BUNCH I'M GONNA MAKE. Once these are sold out, you will have to find another source for your kits.
