anybody know whats wrong...
basically whenever i try to put it into reverse it isnt a smooth shift, it kinda grinds a little..but lets say i put it in another gear, then into reverse, it wont grind and itll be smooth...
what could be wrong? any info appreciated. thx.

 

this sounds normal to me.

i am having a similar problem but no matter what i do it does not feel smooth going into or coming out of reverse. the tranny will be pulled this week and i can post the results.

inital guesses are the reverse change holder or the hub selector (not really sure what that is)

 

thats weird..it just started happening to me today...and i have like 25000 miles

 

Happens to me to. I had the problem with 1st and 2nd and the dealer replaced my syncros under warranty. That was from putting into gear while not completely stopped.

 

is this something the dealership would replace if u have a short shifter...?

 

My opinion is dont you have to usually put it in one of the gears first then reverse?? But his reverse is srewed up though...

 

or should i put stock shifter on..then bring it in?

 

all depends on the dealer. if you are unfamiliar with them put it back to stock. it's a shifter, shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.
