Mugen products, like the Bumper, wing and hood are made from FRP and CFRP...
"If all that is required is a lightweight hood, the cheapest manufacturing method is manual forming of FRP (or CFRP) using glass fiber (or carbon fiber) material. However, Mugen considers this inadequate to meet the requirements of hood strength, stiffness, engine heat countermeasures, and safety. Mugen's solution is a high-rigidity, lightweight hood made of autoclave-formed glass-fiber prepreg."
