Default Question about Type-R frame strengthening...

I was at a theft repo place today looking at some theft repo type-r's, and I noticed that there is a bar that is bolted on right in front of the rear mount, behind the swap bar. I was wondering if this is one of the factory upgrades that they Type-R recieved as well as the frame connector on the lower back of the car.

I am probabily going to go get one from the dealer if it will bolt onto my LS. The stiffer the better

Weld it on the rear hatch. It's much stiffer there.

well.. i dont have a DC2, i have a DB7. It seems this model got passed over on good suspension. I will take a look under the hood tonight and see if its there or not.

The ITR has many extras over the regular Integras. In regard to stiffening, the majority was done in the back. There is more framing around the suspension mouting points, the fender wells are of thicker metal, and the subframe is beefed up among other upgrades.
