Possibly getting another ITR?
Well, this shouldn't come as a surprise to some, but I have to get rid of my M3 soon because I just purchased a house.
House Payments > Car Payments
But now I'm going back and forth of what to replace it with. Naturally I thought about another ITR. But there are alot of con's that come with it such as insurance and theft/vandalism. So I started to look at the Mini Cooper S GP. The only problem is, it won't be available until July of next year and I close at the end of February.
Do any of you guys know where I might find a mint condition black ITR preferably with a JDM Front end conversion professionally done below $20,000?
I'm weighing my options here.

Jesus, make up your mind you spastic colon...
Honestly if I had to get a replacement car, it probably wouldn't be an ITR just because of the theft issue. But it sure as hell wouldn't be a Mini cooper.

ITR makes sense for len: he works at acura dealership.

Buy Bradstard's kaa and flat black it! (I would. SERIOUSLY.)

Look Nippon Denso, I'm weighing my option. Whatever I get, it at least has to be faster and sexier than your car.
Kenny, I can't believe you just said that.
Brad, how much without motor?

That's ridiculous.....JDM front R's go for exactly what a USDM R goes for, rule #1 of modding a stock car.......YOU NEVER GET BACK THE MONEY YOU PUT INTO IT. Good luck in your search len, you can prob. find one between 15.5-19k depending on condition mileage, etc.

To go against the grain (read putting flame suit on), I think the Mini S GP would be a tight car. I'm not sure if everybody here saying "NOOOOO" really knows what that car is. Plus you won't have to worry about the theft factor. Get a beater or a loaner from a friend until July. That car would be worth the wait.
For those who don't know about the car, read this: http://www.autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=103613

I'd go for the Mini Cooper GP Tuning or even a Cooper JCW. It should be sweet. I think the U.S. is only getting a handful of Cooper GP's (5 per dealership X 83 dealerships = 415 Approx.) so resale will be great on that car especially since its already great on the other Minis. Insurance will surely be less and you'll have a warantee.
We are getting into a house too in about 3 weeks. But my car is almost paid off, so We are buying an 06' Cooper S for wifey.
Ours should look like this with specs in sig.

ITR will cost less but you know the issues of owning one.
Mini GP is still quite a large investment IMO, but you'd live without worry of theft and insurance would be cheaper.
Both are excellent choices IMO.
How about a 99' E36 M3.??

Here's the thing though:
Stock 05'-06' Mini Cooper S puts down
168 HP
170 TQ
and weighs about 2700 lbs, however is damn near as fast as the type R
0-60: 6.4
1/4 mile: 14.8
I can't imagine what the GP would do. It would be a fun car too.

Manufacturer's list the "wet" weight - with the car filled with fluids including gas. Most of us weigh our cars with very little gas. So, gas levels being the same (about 1-2 gallons @ 6.25lbs/gallon), the car would probably weigh around 2350.

The ITR is the ONLY FWD car I'd ever own again...and maybe the TSX for a DD.
Any thoughts for the CL9? It'd be a nice DD, lower insurance and fun to drive. The biggest plus being, no theft-worry related ulcers.
