[QUOTE=Big Phat R;44910536]Well HPDE season started again in Vancouver yesterday.
Took old faithful -- who had less than 1000 kms put on her last year
This is how the engine of my 12 year old car is nowadays:
It's a USDM type-R made to look like a JDM type-R.... Priceless!

it's a JDM front end I traded with another local Type R because he was selling his car and parting it out. My original USDM front end was trashed from 40,000 kms of track driving and I figured it would be fun to switch -- plus I could incorporate the RAM AIR Spoon setup to feed my Mugen intake.
But most of all I wanted to run fatter tires -- with the new setup I have 16x8" rims with 225/45/16 tires AND +25mm spacers -- which you can't do with the USDM setup. I had to roll all the fenders and repaint the entire car -- so the JDM front end was a no brainer at the time
My car used to look like this:

Great looking car! One of my all time favorites. Regarding the GoPro HD it is great! Just remember to put masking tape over the two mic holes. It's a trick to get rid of the wind buffeting noise. Secondly when you are editing the video just up the volume as it can be pretty quiet.
Lastly don't bother with GoPro's roll bar mount. I use IoPort's roll bar mount and the optional tripod mount for the Gopro (10 bucks) and it is solid and doesnt move. It's the best camera you are going to get in the $250 range for this purpose.
The only draw back is that they are not planning on doing any data acquisition add ons. If I move to a full data system I might just use my Gopro to mount on top of the car. But it's been great so far. I can get all five 25 minute sessions on one charge and it's great to be able to review laps on my lap top during the down time between sessions.

I drive my M3 most of the time that's why you don't see my car much. I keep it in my garage under lock and key ;-)
