OG takes his 12 year old Type R to the track
Well HPDE season started again in Vancouver yesterday.
Took old faithful -- who had less than 1000 kms put on her last year
This is how the engine of my 12 year old car is nowadays:
I hung out with White Rocket for the day:
This is my car and his car (which are almost mechanically identical now):
Here were other interesting cars that showed up:
Track conditions were perfect -- cool and dry. Lots of Porsches to play with. Even beat up one of those new STi's. (the owner didn't like me too much)
Just proves to me that the Type R is still one hell of a car --- takes a licking and keeps on ticking.....
Now I will go back to lurking.... :-)

Beautiful Type-R's. Always nice to show up a $30k or $40k car in something that costs about half and makes half the power. Honda really got it right with the Type-R. They didn't exactly help the owners out with the security systems. Thats for another thread though. You should start taking videos of your hpde sessions.

I use a jvc with a 4gb sd card on an i-o port mount in my dads track car. Sound quality and picture are both great. The sd card has plently of room for each day's track time.
There are so many choices out there for cameras. Don't let the go pro be your only option.
Actually scratch all that, just get something so we can see some in car videos damn it! Jk Lol.

Eh... just some Canadians raising hell...
Good to see Mrs Rocket out there in the pooper as well.
BPR, you gonna track the "other" car?

The worst part about owning an STI is other STI owners. Subaru has the worst fanboys of all.

Thanks guys
I was hoping to do the west coast expo -- but that didn't pan out -- too bad. Driving to SC is just not gonna happen unless I win the lottery and can ship my car out

for some fellow canucks.
This is exactly why I wish I was living back on the coast. My R is still sitting in the garage because we just got another snow storm in Sask.
I was hoping to have her out for April 1st but I'm not sure that's gonna happen anymore. I really need a transfer back to BC.

OP: How much power is that making? I don't know much about all-motor setups, but I'm gunna venture a guess of around 220-230?
