Default Offset help.

I'm planning on buying some 16x7 CE28 rims. Which would be best a 33, 42, or 48 offset. I want to tuck some tire. Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

stock is 50, but people use 38mm offset with 205/45R16 without issues.

this is a well-covered topic in the archives.

I don't get this offset thing. So the lower the offset then the further my tire will stick out?

Could somebody explain to me what it means to tuck some [tyre]?

I've almost answered a couple of times but I'm not sure what this means.

Tire is slightly in the fender...so that you can't see the top of the tires, they are hidden behind the fender...pretty much he wants to make sure his tires/wheels don't stick out to far so when he lowers his car there will be no rubbing issues.

Ahh. I see. He doesn't have much choice, then. He has to go with the higher (numerical) offset and smaller tyres.

Different worlds.
