Mugen I/H/E ?'s...
I keep debating what I want to do with my R, N/A or turbo...
My question is this, how much power can a Type R put to the ground with just the Mugen 4-1 Header, Air intake, and full exhaust and ofcouse the addition of a high flow cat? Those would be my 1st 3 mods if I go N/A, is it worth the $2600? I'm looking for Dyno charts and/or real-world #'s.
With all the above what further gains would I get with the Mugen Head gasket, valve springs, and ECU? These Mods would follw eventually, could be a while before I have the cash though.
Thanks a lot for any info etc...

A good NA setup would be, JDM header, carsound cat, SMSP exhaust 2.5 inch. Stock intake with drop in filter, or AEM, or comptech ice box. The header , cat, exh can be had for about $1200, add 50-300 for the intake.

I/H/E will not give you more than 180whp. But once you start dealing with CAMS, you will have more room but you have to know what you are doing and tunning is the key.

Okay here's my old setup. Power was 188.8 whp and 133 ft lbs at the wheels:
AEM
UR pulley set
cam gears
JDM header/test pipe
3 inch custom exhaust
Godspeed/Spoon TB
Power FC
All else was bone stock. So less than $3500 and you can have a VERY reliable, reasonably quick ITR without even changing cams. With cams, power will rise substantially.

I have mugen header, ecu, headgasket, exhaust.... and I made 185hp and 133lb tq.
I am also sellin the header and ecu if your interested but the ecu is for a 97-98 Type R but the header will work.
