MSD IGNITION
Hey guys i have an MSD Ignition Digital 6 series with a SS blaster coil at my house right now. I was thinking of putting it to use on the R. I am planning on getting Magnecor 8.5mm wires in the next couple of days. Can the MSD hurt or will it help the powerband in any way? Will it help with gas mileage? Should i use different spark plugs with it? I will also have an AEM CAI on it soon as well. Thanks for the info guys.

Re: MSD IGNITION (talkie25)
Capacitve discharge over inductive any day of the week.
However, there is an incompatability problem with the R's igniter. I had an MSD it ate 2 of my igniters. As best as I can determine, the trigger line resistance is different in the MSD than the stock setup. It didn't do it instantly either: Once it blew under load, the other time I turned it off at night, and it simply wouldn't start in the morning.
I talked to MSD extensively and they couldn't explain it. Igniters are expensive.
So, in a word, not really worth it, the ignition that is.
The coil on the other hand is.
