more problems.....
well ever since i bought my R last month i have been running into some problems, but now i have run into a bigger problem.... The car will not get into gear..... It can turn on, and when the vehicle is off it will go into all the gears, but when it is on it will not go into any gears, when i push down to 2nd really hard the car will move a little but will not get into gear. I am pretty sure it is not the transmission and the clutch is relatively new, but any ideas guys? o yeah almost forgot to mention was driving just fine last night and pushed it a little and got home with no problems but woke up to this in the morning.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You say the clutch is fairly new, who insatlled it? Maybe the shift fork or shift fork spring wasnt installed properly, and came loose?? or yea like stated above, it broke?.
is there pressure in the pedal? what about the slave?

no pressure in the pedal as of coming home from work today. The clutch came installed with it, pretty sure previous owner installd it himself. On the side note I kindof noticed before that when i am on the highway and i am in 5th it would kind of rattle but thought it was normal? this shift fork is sounding kindof pricey.... checked the fluid in the master cylindr and its filled, but cant quite locate the slave cylinder
is it possible to break all 6shift forks? and it was working fine the night before and on my way home when i got off the highway. The clutch was engaging and disengaging normally all the way home until i turned it on this morning. Could it be that i park my car in gear(anti-tow method)?
checked all fluids and they all were filled, topped em off a little just to make sure. Went into the car and pumped the clutch and it feels like normal again and the gears shift. Could it be a leak, or is the cylinder going bad??

Ok what you need to do is check for leaks is you clutch system. Climb under your dash. And follow your clutch pedal up to your clutch master cyl. Dose that area look wet at all. If so pull back the rubber that the master cyl, rod goes through to see if their is any build of fluid their. If so replace the clutch master cyl.
Perform the same check on the clutch slave cyl. It is located on the front of the transmission right behind your lower radiator hose. Pull back its rubber boot also check it for leaks.
If those check out fine, what you need to do next is pull that tranny off, and examine the clutch. A spring in the clutch disk may have dislodged itself.
When that happens it becomes extremely hard to shift because the throw out bearing can't disengage the clutch pressure plate.
I dont think you have a internal transmission issue. A broken for one or two gears on your shifted you could move up and down w/ out any issue.

I'm sorry, not a shift fork, a clutch fork. That is what I meant. It pushed on the release bearing to disengage the clutch. If you have no pedal pressure, than that is more than likely the cause.
There is a little ball/stem looking thing in the clutch slave cylinder that pushes onto the release fork, make sure all slave cylinder stuff looks okay before you go tear apart the transmission.
I'm having the same problem as the OP, expect I can't go into 1st, 3rd, or 5th gear with the car driving down the street or turing the car off, mine started last night I can get into 2nd, 4th, and reverse. There is pedal pressure all day long. I've checked the master cylinder fluid still good, checked the slave cylinder its not leaking, cuz I just changed'em both out last month so they shouldnt be giving me a problem. The next thing I'm going to check for is air in the clutch line so I've got to bleed the line. I hope that theres air in the line, the next step would be to take the tranny off. I've never done it by myself before. Other than changing the cluth/throwout bearing/pressure plate itself what other things should I be on the look out for gentlemen? Maybe a bad synchro?
