which ever you choose...make sure its as bright as possible because while you're driving..you're so focused on not crashing that you don't see things like that. Anyways..the smallest one I know of is the Apex one which I'm assuming cannot be used independently. It has to be used in conjunction with their revspeed meter. I'm sure you could find a way to ghetto-wire it up to make it work though. Another option is to wire up one of your warning lights to flash to indicate a shifting point.

go get the Pivot auto shift lamp. it's the smallest one out there. i have one, its pricy tho. got mine for $98 shipped. it works independently with a dimmer for the light so you can ajust brightness and another *** to adjust the exact rpm you want to shift at. oh yeah no instalation needed you just plug it into your cig lighter.

I bought this one carmate shift-up lamp before. It worked beautifully. It was about $90. I mounted it on the steering column. You can adjust the dim setting too. Check out the link. There isn't too much info but this was a darn good thing to have.

Yes he is/was...it wasn't working at one point, along with some other electrical components in his car...not sure if he got it all figured out yet.

I have it installed in my car, but due to some electrical gremlins that reared their head during my Hondata/J&S Safeguard install I disconnected it, need to reconnect it again to see if it's functioning properly as the light was getting some sort of bleed through and was partially lighting up before the rpm that was set...something that was specific to my setup and hadn't been seen before.
