Default lsd Problems

i have an obx lsd differential and have had no luck with it. I was wondering if anyone knew of a better brand that was affordable and or if anyone has a good used one for sale?

Thanks for the help!

Unless you've reached the stage where no Torsen axle is going to do the job for you, it's hard to beat OEM Honda Torsen axles, generally available for B and K motor cars for relatively little money.

Were you saying you broke the OBX, it doesn't work, or it doesn't work well enough?

again, probably just a result of the excellent quality of OBX products. kind of like when i was a young ricer and thought it would be cool to have a short shifter (obx) until it snapped in half one day while shifting into 2nd

Okay, then. What is it you're doing with your car? How much HP are you putting down?

If you're on a road course and under 300 Dynojet HP, then I think an OEM Torsen axle is what you should be looking for unless you're moving into professional racing.

That's funny that you say that. I too had one in my car when I was young and it too snapped in half!

There was a ruction in the early days of Honda Challenge because they wanted to be a series sponsor but none of the racers would use their products.

Can't say I could blame them. That was the one and only OBX piece that I have owned. In fact, it was bought for me. After that broke, I vowed to never use anything but a stock shifter!

The OEM diff in my car is pretty good... havent heard of anyone needing to upgrade the LSD unit.

Just the stuff surrounding it

Well, there's a remote possibility you'll want the car to point faster at some point, and have the LSD working off throttle.

A hell of a lot of racing championships, however, have certainly been won on OEM Honda Torsen axles.
